This was a competition where everything that could go wrong did...
3 horses entered in CCI***, and not one got to run x-c. All Hawley's
students did well, including stellar 1*, 2** results, but there was a lot
of disappointment because the high performance horses, didn't run.
It was very hot, but as always at Rebecca Farm, in the most beautiful
setting, and at the most well-run event anywhere, we still all managed
to have some fun, enjoy the camaraderie of fellow eventers, and their
families.
This is definitely the most 'humbling' sport of any.

2009 Bromont CCI***/**/* Bennett Breaks Through To Win The Three-Star
"Canadian riders stage a coup d'état in Quebec, sweeping all three CCI divisions.
When Hawley Bennett’s horse hit a rail in the show jumping warm-up this afternoon, June 14, she got the feeling it might be her last knock of the day.
The Canadian rider and Gin N Juice were in second place in the CCI***, and they put in a foot-perfect round in the final phase of the Bromont CCI***. That left no room for error for the overnight leaders, Corinne Ashton and Dobbin."2009 Bromont CCI***/**/* Bennett Breaks Through To Win The Three-Star"
